If you’re looking for the best in dance, then look no further than Switch 1197’s very own Friday night countdown show. Kick-start your weekend as hosts Lindsay & Trav banter their way through the top 20 dance tracks circling the air-waves. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more entertaining chart program on Brisbane radio, with the boys’ unique on-air style perfectly complimenting the hot tracks on offer. We can’t think of a better way to juice up a big Friday night. Counting Down The House – every Friday from 7pm.

 TRAV

Once upon a time, in a distant land known as Stanthorpe, there lived a young boy named Trav. Moved from his native Brisbane by his tree-change-craving parents, Trav settled into country life and faced its many adversities; angry cow stampedes, backpacker vegie picking, and the dreaded lapping of the main stream

But young Trav knew that the bright lights of the city was where he belonged, and like an ambitious moth, he could not resist its calling. After embracing university life, the work-force called, with its many ups (money) and downs (having to work for said money) flowing with it.

During Trav’s travels, he happened to stumble upon a like-minded soul by the name of Lindsay. The two fast became good friends, and eventually housemates, with some even referring to them as ‘hetero-life partners’.

Like all ‘partners’, Trav sometimes doesn’t see eye-to-eye with everything Lindsay says, and although they’re yet to resort to hand-to-hand combat (according to Trav), the two have been known to regularly debate hot, worldly topics such as ‘is multi-grain bread really that good for you?’ and ‘does James Hopes eat butter chicken before he plays cricket?’

It may not be the most perfect pairing in fairy-tale history, but surely Trav could do a lot worse?

Lindsay

Lindsay Bio Picture.jpg

The following biography is inspired by true events…

Lindsay was born and bread in the proud apple town of Stanthorpe, named after it’s plentiful supplies of tin. Resisting the traditions set by his forefathers, Lindsay bypassed mining tin and picking apples, and instead took on numerous roles including grocery delivery, phone box cleansing, and baby tomato rearing.

Despite being a multi-faceted work machine, Lindsay still felt he was yet to reach the pinnacle so the city lights of Brisbane beckoned. Now able to express himself in a way that a small country town would never allow, Lindsay indulged in such crazy city antics as dancing with emotion, and wearing jeans to non-formal events; not to mention discovering the joys of what city folk refer to as ‘recycling’.

The move to Brisbane also provided Lindsay with the chance to reunite with old Stanthorpe friend and long-time pen-pal Travis. After a deep, five minute catch-up, the two hit their first gig together, and have continued this tradition since.

Despite being great friends and sharing many common interests (including living quarters), it’s non uncommon for dinner conversation between the two to become embroiled in heated, controversial arguments, later being resolved by either a Guitar Hero “Guitar-off”, or a taxing game of Paper, Scissors, Fist.
